Installing FiveM

You need a legitimate copy of Grand Theft Auto V on Steam, Rockstar Games Launcher or Epic Games. Pirated copies cannot connect.

Steps 1. Launch GTA V once through its own launcher and reach the main menu. FiveM needs this to have happened at least once. 2. Download FiveM from the official site, fivem.net. Do not download it from anywhere else. 3. Run the installer. Install it to a folder you control, such as your user directory — not Program Files. 4. Launch FiveM and sign in with your Cfx.re account, creating one if needed. 5. Let it finish its first-run update. This can take several minutes.

If it fails to install - Add the FiveM folder to your antivirus exclusions. Overzealous antivirus is the single most common cause. - Run the installer as administrator. - Make sure Windows is up to date.
